An exhibition in Helinä Rautavaaran Museum featured works by Empirica members

Bilge Aktaş and Priska Falin participated at the group exhibition “Margin to Margin” at Helinä Rautavaaran Museum which is based on the artistic outcomes of two year-long research project.

As part of an artistic research project, “Margin to Margin: Women Living at the Edges of the World”, a four-day workshop was organized at the University of Lapland in December 2016. The workshop, Narrating the Marginal, included group discussions on identities, co-created pieces, and solo artworks.

Bilge’s felted pieces “The Second Look” and Priska’s video work “In Between” were selected to be exhibited as part of the collective exhibition of the project. The exhibition presents the project outcomes and includes works from other workshops that were organized in Australia and Russia.
